How to combine RemotePass data with other sources in your AI tool

One of the most powerful things about RemotePass MCP is that it does not work in isolation. If you have other tools or data sources connected to your AI tool, you can query RemotePass and those sources together in a single conversation, and ask your AI tool to combine them into one output.

When you connect RemotePass to Claude or ChatGPT via MCP, your AI tool can access your live RemotePass data alongside anything else you have connected or shared in that conversation. That means you can ask a question that pulls from RemotePass and another source at the same time, and get a single combined answer back.

You do not need to export anything from RemotePass or copy data between tools. Your AI tool does the combining for you.

If you have a finance tool like QuickBooks or Xero connected to Claude alongside RemotePass, you can query both at once.

For example, you could ask: "Pull our total contractor payroll spend from RemotePass for Q2 and compare it against the budget line from QuickBooks. Show me where we were over or under."

Claude pulls the payroll figures from your live RemotePass data and the budget figures from your finance tool, then produces a consolidated comparison in one response. What would previously have required an export from RemotePass, a separate report from your finance tool, and manual cross-referencing in a spreadsheet happens in a single prompt.

You do not need a connected tool for this to work. If you upload your Q3 budget spreadsheet directly into the Claude or ChatGPT conversation, your AI tool can reference it alongside your live RemotePass data.

For example, you could ask: "I've attached our Q3 headcount budget. Based on the active contracts in RemotePass, tell me how our current contractor spend tracks against each budget line by country."

Claude reads the spreadsheet you have shared and queries your live RemotePass contract and payment data at the same time, then maps one against the other. You get a country-by-country view of budget versus actual spend without leaving the conversation.

Your RemotePass access level applies to everything MCP surfaces. If your role does not have access to certain data in RemotePass, it will not be available through MCP either.

When combining sources, the quality of the output depends on the data in both places. If your budget sheet uses different country names or cost centre codes than RemotePass, it helps to flag that in your prompt so the AI tool can account for it.
