Let workers request their own SpendCards, and their own limit updates, straight from RemotePass, instead of coming to you for every card.
Once you turn this on, workers see a Request Card button in their SpendCards section. They fill in what they need: card type, spending limit, frequency, and a reason, then submit it.
Every request still goes through your company's SpendCards approval policy.
Why enable worker requests?
It removes some of the manual work on your side meaning you don’t have to enter all of the details when issuing a card. They submit the request, you just approve it.
It also covers the spend you can't always plan for. A subscription renews, a trip comes up, a tool needs buying today, not next week. Workers can request what they need when they need it, and your approval policy still decides what gets through.
For teams spread across countries and time zones, that's the flexibility to keep moving, without losing control over spend.
How to enable Worker requests SpendCard & limit update
To let workers request SpendCards:
Go to Company Settings.
Open the SpendCards section.
Find SpendCards Requests.
Turn on Worker Requests SpendCard & Limit Update.
Once it's on, workers can:
Request a new SpendCard.
Ask for an update to their existing card limit.
Any admin, or company user with the right permissions, can turn this setting on or off at any time.
Note: No approval policy set up yet? Requests will then be approved automatically by default so we recommend setting up an Approval Policy before enabling Learn more about approval policies.
What happens after enabling the setting?
Workers now see a Request Card button on their SpendCards dashboard. They can submit a request without waiting on you to create the card first.
You still decide what gets approved and how, through your existing approval policy. You just spend less time doing it by hand.
