How to Assign NetSuite Cost Centers?

For advanced reporting, you can enable cost centers in RemotePass by first creating a custom field:

  1. Go to Company Settings > Custom Fields and click Add New.

  2. Enter a name for the custom field and set the field type to List.

  3. Add the values you want to associate with workers in RemotePass (e.g., department names).

  4. Leave Required disabled, enable the Visibility toggle, select Apply to Accounting Categorization, and save.

Mapping the Cost Centers

To map the cost centers,

  1. Go to NetSuite Integration and click Cost Centers tab

  2. Select the RemotePass custom field you want to link your cost centers

  3. Map RemotePass cost center values to your NetSuite cost centers

  4. Click Save.

Assigning Cost Centers to Workers on RemotePass

  1. Go to any contract detail page and click Settings

  2. Select the custom field and its value under Accounting Categorization section.

  3. Click Save.

After this setup, each new bill and line item created will have cost center value added on NetSuite according to your configuration.

Cost center data applies only to future transactions in RemotePass and is included in bills for workers with assigned cost centers; it is not added retrospectively or for unassigned workers.
