One of the main benefits of Time Tracking is quick input from the app and transparent payroll calculation. As you log time, you can view a real-time conversion of your hours into payments.
When a Payment Is Created
Whether a session creates a payment depends on your contract type and whether overtime is enabled in your policy.
EoR, Direct Employee, Fixed Contractor, and Pay As You Go Per Month
These contract types already have a fixed payment for the working period, so your regular session submissions still need approval but won't create a separate payment.
Only your overtime turns into a payment, and only if you're assigned to a policy with overtime enabled.
Pay As You Go Per Day, Per Hour, and Per Minute
Your sessions are converted into payments directly once approved, since your pay is based on the time you log. Per Hour and Per Minute submissions are reflected immediately.
In short: outside of Pay As You Go (Per Day / Per Hour / Per Minute), regular sessions won't create a payment on their own — only overtime does.
How the Amounts Are Calculated
For regular Pay As You Go pay
Your unit rate is converted to an hourly rate so payments stay consistent:
Pay As You Go – Per Day: 8 hours a day, Daily Salary $40 → Hourly Salary = $5
Pay As You Go – Per Minute: Minutely Salary $0.2 → Hourly Salary = $0.2 x 60 = $12
For EoR, Direct Employees, Fixed Contractors, and Pay As You Go Per Month
The hourly rate used for overtime is derived from your fixed salary:
Hourly Salary = Fixed Salary / (Daily Working Hours x Work Days in Cycle)
Ex: $1000 / month, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day → Hourly Salary = $1000 / (8 x (5 x 4)) = $6.25
Once your hourly rate is known, overtime is calculated with your policy's multiplier:
Overtime Payment = Submitted Valid Overtime (hours) x Overtime Multiplier x Hourly Salary
Ex: Hourly Salary $6.25, multiplier x1.5, 2 valid overtime hours → $6.25 x 1.5 x 2 = $18.75
Once a payable session is approved, you'll be notified by email that a payment is pending from your client's side. When the payment is completed, you'll be notified again that the time tracking submission is paid.
