How to connect RemotePass to other MCP-compatible AI tools

Written by Adrian Quinn

RemotePass MCP works with any AI tool that supports the Model Context Protocol. This guide covers how to connect using Claude as an example — the steps are similar for other compatible tools.

Setting up in Claude

Step 1: Add the RemotePass connector (done once, by an admin)

  1. In Claude, go to Customize → Connectors.

  2. Click +, then select Add custom connector.

  3. Enter a name (e.g. "RemotePass") and paste the MCP server URL provided by RemotePass Support into the Remote MCP server URL field.

  4. Click Advanced settings and paste your credentials into the OAuth Client ID and OAuth Client Secret fields.

  5. Click Add. Claude validates the URL and saves the connector.

Step 2: Connect your account (done by each user)

  1. Go to Customize → Connectors and click Connect next to RemotePass.

  2. You will be redirected to RemotePass — sign in with your credentials.

  3. Review the permissions on the consent screen and click Approve.

  4. You will be redirected back to Claude. The connector will show as connected.

Step 3: Use RemotePass in a conversation

Click the + icon at the bottom of any chat, select Connectors, and toggle RemotePass on for that conversation.

Using with other MCP-compatible tools

The setup flow is broadly the same across MCP-compatible AI tools:

  1. Find the custom connector or integration settings in your AI tool.

  2. Add the RemotePass MCP server URL.

  1. Authenticate using the OAuth Client ID.

  2. Connect your individual account.
