Check the sections below for detailed step-by-step instructions.

Building your Organization chart

To begin creating your organization chart, go to your Contracts list and open the Org Chart feature.

You have two view options to choose from:

  • Manager View (Default): Displays the direct reporting lines between workers.

  • Department View: Shows the department-level structure.

Assigning Managers

  1. Choose the Manager view.

  2. Open the list of workers without an assigned manager.

  3. Select a worker and assign them to a direct manager.

  4. Optionally, assign a department if it’s already set up. More on departments in the next section.

  5. As you assign managers, reporting lines will automatically appear in the org chart, showing the connection between workers and their managers.

Assigning Departments

  1. Switch to the Department view.

  2. If departments haven't been set up, create a new one by defining its name and colour.

  3. Open the list of workers without a department assigned.

  4. Select a worker and assign them to a department. Indicate if they should be marked as the head of the department.

  5. If designated as head, the worker will be listed at the top of the department’s hierarchy.

  6. As you assign departments, the structure will automatically form in the org chart, linking workers to their respective departments.

Managing Your Organization Chart

Keep your organization chart current by editing it and:

  • Assigning a direct manager and department to new workers after onboarding.

  • Updating a worker's direct manager whenever there’s a change in reporting structure.

  • Modifying a worker’s department when they move to a new team.

  • Renaming departments as needed when changes occur.
