How to use and manage the automatic timing session

Written by Sameer B.

Your Clock Stays in Sync

An actively running session is synchronized across all your platforms. Start a session on the app and you'll see the same live clock on web, and vice versa.

The running clock works in the background, so losing your internet connection or running out of battery won't stop your session.

Because of this, you are responsible for stopping the session yourself when you finish working.

Pause, Restart, and Stop

You can pause a running session and restart it whenever you pick your work back up.

Important: Once you stop a session, it cannot be restarted. If you stopped a session by mistake, you'll need to either delete it and start a new one, or add the time back as a manual entry.

P3, S4: Forgot to Stop the Timer?

If you forget to stop your timer and end the session, the system automatically clocks you out once you reach the total time your policy allows. That total is your regular expected working hours + the overtime threshold + the maximum allowed overtime.

The session is then listed as “Pending Submission” on your Time Tracking page so you can review and submit it.
