How Does SAP SuccessFactors Time-off Sync Work?

Workers are included when their email matches on both systems and the Employment Type custom field is set in SuccessFactors.

You choose which contract types participate when you enable the module.

You choose which policies are paid out at termination under Module Settings → Manage time-off policies sync.

The Workers tab lists every worker in scope. A worker is Synced when the email matches and the custom field is set; otherwise the worker is Discarded until the mismatch is fixed.

Whenever a time-off request is approved in SuccessFactors, it appears under the Time-off tab. Edits and cancellations processed in SuccessFactors are reflected automatically.

Use Refresh for an immediate update.

Each synced worker's Time off tab shows their SuccessFactors balances as of today, read-only. If SuccessFactors shows a yearly entitlement of 10 days and RemotePass shows 4.5, the difference has not accrued yet; approved time off with a future start date is not yet deducted.

For synced workers, time-off entry is disabled in RemotePass for both the worker and their manager.

Under Company Settings → Time Off Policies → SAP SuccessFactors Policies you see the SuccessFactors policies of your synced workers, with the number of workers assigned to each. This view is for reference; policies are managed in SuccessFactors.

For the policies you enabled in Module Settings, RemotePass fetches the worker's balance as of the termination date you enter and adds the payout to the final payment. If no policy is enabled, nothing is paid out. (EOR and DE only)

Requests and balances: on schedule, with on-demand refresh; balances are fetched again for the termination date when you enter one.

Historical absences before the sync was enabled are not imported.

Balances are displayed as of the last refresh; the termination flow fetches them again for the termination date.
