Will Additional Deposit be required?

An additional deposit may be required if you request a contract term or arrangement that increases the employment liability beyond the statutory minimum. This may include:

  • A notice period longer than the statutory requirement

  • Recognition or transfer of prior employment history

  • Benefits or other terms that exceed statutory requirements

The required deposit will depend on the additional liability and will be assessed before your request is approved.
Example: If the statutory notice period is one month and you request a three-month notice period, the deposit will be three months’ salary. This includes the standard one-month deposit plus two additional months for the extended notice period.
